Melissa, I am about halfway through the book and I have to say it's absolutely wonderful! I have even been reaing it aloud to friends and family so they have better understanding that I am not alone in being an obsessive Harry Potter fan. That Harry Potter is not just a children's series but literature that means so much to people of every age group. Thank you so much for this!

Melissa,

I just finished reading your book and it was great! I'm sure you'll be hearing this quite a bit, but it was like reading my own story of discovering the books and finding Leaky and the Sugar Quill. Thanks so much for putting it all to paper. Now for the most important part of my post. I'm sure everyone who has read your book will agree. Please post the confessional videos you guys made!

I bought your book yesterday at a barnes and nobles! I am so excited to read it, I am so excited about Obama, I am so excited for you! Thanks for everything!

Congratulations, Melissa! I went out and bought your book yesterday, and I'm laughing out loud as I read along. Your discovery of the fandom was very much like my own, and I keep shouting, "That's me! That's me!" Reading it is a wonderful way to remember those early days and the excitement of figuring it all out.

I'm the author of a fanfic called The Seventh Horcrux which earned a bit of attention as a leak before DH. It's obviously nowhere near the connection you've got, but it certainly makes me relate to you as I'm reading.

I think you're a wonderfully engaging author, and I just want to say thanks for the pleasure of reading your reconstruction of how it all happens.

Good luck with your signing, and congratulations on being a published author.

Melinda

Hi, Melissa!!

Is your book going to be shipped to Spain?? I live in Madrid and I'd like to buy your book!! ;)

I hope your book is a great success!! Good luck!! ^^

I just got your book today after finally finding time in my hectic student life to convince someone to give me a ride to the bookstore! ( I definitely wanted to go on the fourth but, of course, people were to wrapped up in some stuff that they refused my pleas. I'll admit I was a little wrapped up as well with Rock the Vote, heheh. )

So, resigning myself to a fate of frantic homework catch-up, I got someone to take me out tonight to get the book! Despite my irritation that I'm two days late and a couple PotterCasts behind, I'm hugely excited to finish reading the book. I think I'll pull a Deathly Hallows and read it within three or four hours and maybe cry a little bit. ( There's been a lot of crying in my life lately, goodness. But all about happy things. )

What I mean to say with this rambling is that, thanks, Ms. Anelli! You've given me something to chew on and obsess over while I steam and wait for a certain movie and book to come out.

Reading just the foreword and first chapter, I'm totally sucked in. I had to tear myself away from the book to do a project. Life is unfair!

Love you lots and keep it up!

Congrats on your book!

Be sure your book will be even enjoyed in Argentina :)

Frustratingly enough, I WAS IN NYC LAST NIGHT! I had planned to come, and my vendor meeting/dinner didn't wrap up until 8:20. SO BUMMED, as I had my USA and my Harry ready to be signed.

(And yes, I thought about ducking out early, but didn't think my boss would appreciate my Potter excuse. It's sad when you have to be all adult-ish!)

I'm so thrilled for you - enjoy this moment, you've earned it!

I wish I could have come! But I'm in Mich and had to work. I hope you know that this book is going to be under my arm at every Potter event I go to, just in case I run into you.

Cause.

You rock.

I'm just reading the spoiler part now, and I don't think I've talked back to a book this much since Deathly Hallows. You did a wonderful job!

Thank you!

-Amanda

Congratulations for being published, Melissa! I'll be reading your book tonight. :)

Um, Melissa? You're on Perez Hilton. Okay, it doesn't actually say your name, but a part of your book/interview is on Perez. WTFGEHJDK.

So I finished the book. It was like a roller coaster ride of intense memories. From remembering my first read, to my first wrock show, pheonix rising, all down to my speed read of Deathly Hallows. The book actually made me cry. I loved it intensely! I thank you so much for writing it. It was a phenomenal look into an amazing community!

Have fun at your signing! Enjoy it, you deserve this!

I wish I could be there! Is there any other way to get you to sign my book? I want a "MelissaAnelliWasHere" in my book!!!

and fyi, I got the book yesterday and I'm currently about half-way through it. So far it's fabulous! You've reminded me of why I got into Potter in the first place. Thank you! =]

Congrats on your book and I hope you have a HUGE turnout this evening!!

I wish that I could go!!! Good luck!

Wish i could be there...im sure it will be AMAZING! good luck!

Good luck tonight Melissa! I can't make it (*sob*) but I AM reading your book. I love it so far!!

Bye :-)

Have a wonderful time! Lucky fans who get to be there! Grandma

I wish I was in NYC so I could go. As it is, I'll be celebrating the release and signing by reading the book tonight at home in California.

So, Melissa (yes, I picked it up last night; no, I have note started it yet), when is the audiobook release? ;)

Happy signing tonight! I'm just sorry I'm not in NY to see it. Alas.

Congrats on your USAToday cover shot, too! Squee!

Good luck this evening. Have loads of fun. I'll be there in spirit.
