Photo Friday: Knight Bus

The interior of the Knight Bus that Scholastic sent around the country from June 1, 2007, through the release of book seven:

This was really a London double-decker that was wrapped in purple shrinkwrap, bejeweled with representations of the seven Potter novels. It was really driven across the country, though not many people went on it; a driver and maybe one person to help out, that's it; everyone else was in a followup van. I couldn't stop imagining this thing in the middle of an Iowa cornfield.

I got to go on the Knight Bus when it stopped at the San Francisco public library (even though I was an adult). They videotaped 30 second bits on how you discovered the harry potter books and such stories.

But Photo Friday does have a nice ring to it! :)

I love how Photo Mondays have now morphed into Photo Whatever-Day-I-Want. :) Melissa has simply bent the calendar to her will.

I'm also loving the poofy purple plush interior of that bus!

I got to see the night bus in person but they were only letting 8 years old to 12th grader go on it. I was too old and my DD was too young :( But I did get some great pictures of the out side!
I was great to see!
