Comments test

By Melissa Anelli on October 13, 2008 11:47 PM | Permalink | Comments (21)

Update 2: Results of test inconclusive. Thanks everyone for the help; bright side, the page isn't being littered with spam. Down side, all the legit comments are going to the spam filter and I've got to pick them out, the way you'd search for fish in a garbage dump. Yay! I'll keep trying things, but in the meantime I'm sorry if it takes a minute for your comment to show up.

Update, 10AM Oct 14: Well, it worked...kinda. ALL the comments went to the spam filter, even the non-spam ones. So, plus side, no spam all over the page. Negative side, nothing else, either. I tried a few settings, but since this computer and the site know my login info I can't test it myself: If you could carry on testing, that would be great.

Hey, someone, anyone, make a comment of at least two sentences on this post, if you don't mind. I'm trying to fight spam and installed a plugin, and I want to check if it's working or if I accidentally turned off comments for the whole blog. LOL.

Thanks in advance!

Oh man, I missed the Great Testing of 2008!

This message is only a test
Submitted at Mel A.'s behest.
But this ersatz poet
Is far too late, so it
Appears that I'm somewhat obsessed.

I am going to write two sentences as a comment. I am going to try and help you figure out the weird comment problem. I am so helpful I am writing three sentences.

Hello Melissa! I am very excited to get your book! I hope all is well, and that you are being less stressed! Thanks for all you do! ~Sophia

I hope you figure out the comment stuff! I can't wait to read your book! I just found out that I can get Tales of Beatle the Bard here in Hungary at a bookstore, so I am happy! I wonder if they will have your book here, or I will have to wait until I go home to read it. Anyway, have a great day!

This is a test. This website is conducting a test of the Emergency Spamblocking System. This is only a test. If this had been an actual Spamergency, you would have been instructed where to tune in your area for news on what you can do with your ED pills and official information on how much we hate SPAMERS!!! :D

Hello, Melissa! Just sending another test. Can't wait to read your book!

Testing 1, 2, 3.... looking forward to the book and anything else that you have to tell us about your interview with Jo. LOVE that after the book their is still Harry Potter life...and info!

Here I am, trying once again, even though I can see that they're getting through now. I just wanted to say that I have also ordered your book and I look forward to reading it, just like Beedle the Bard. Thanks for all you do!

Looks like this still needs testing, right? Only problem is, I cant think of anything to write to test. I want to help, I really do. But I think I am suffering commenter's block that I cant even write 2 sentences. Sorry to be so useless.

Check..check...one, two, test. One, two, test.

Ha ha, my test comment was a HP Knock knock joke and it went straight to spam box. How fortunate for everyone, as it was quite terrible!

Hi there. This is my comment to help you test. Wanted to say that I've ordered your book and my hands are itching to get hold of it already. Good luck! ~dff

Certain that others have
commented many times, yes?
But I will also.

So my last comment was spam was it? Oh well. I feel a Monty Python skit coming on all of the sudden. Spam spam spam spam...

this is another test. because all the comments above this one were sent to the spam filter! bad, bad.

This is my comment to test your spam filter. I really am looking forward to your book as I have enjoyed the fandom from a distance for years. Hope this comment is long enough to be helpful.

Hey mel!!
great job!
can't wait to read your book!
greetings from uruguay!

I have a comment! I've ordered Harry, A History and can't wait to read it. Thanks for all you do!

Hi Melissa, I'm sure I'm not the first to try to post, but I'll do it anyway just in case. Hope this is long enough!

Hi Melissa!!!
