I have your book on order....I can what to read it. I very excited for you.
Thanks, KC

oh my goodness! i am speachless! i so happy for you melissa! best of luck! i just know this and the future books you write are going to be extremely successly. i can not wait to read it :)

Congratulations and best wishes, Melissa, on your book's publication!

I've been an unashamed, grown-up fan of the Harry Potter books since 1999, and thereafter a citizen of the communities that Jo Rowling's incredible work engendered (among them, HP4GU, HPL, HP Galleries/HOL and, of course, Leaky). Seeing with my own eyes JKR's magical creation and what it has in turn inspired I number among the extraordinary events I have lived through.

I'll only ever buy one book on the Harry Potter phenomenon, and that will be yours; I would only ever respect a fellow fan to "get it", and you have demonstrated yourself a true fan's fan. (Like Evanna Lynch, there are only a few with such cred.) Your first-hand experience, as you say, living IN the phenomenon grant you that unique understanding, insight and perspective that, I believe, make your book THE account of the real alchemy that HP/JKR has worked.

Can't wait for Harry, A History (love the title!), as well as the openings of Vault 27! Cheers!

This is the book that I have been anticipating most since John Noe embarrassed you with the announcement on Pottercast after Book 7 was released. Now that you have JK adding a foreword is just simply amazing!

I hope you come to London to do a book signing session, and while you at it, bring your buddy, JK, along to sign the foreword ;)

Anyway, huge congratulations on the publication and I am absolutely certain it will be a success and justifiably so because we all know how refreshing your journalism is.

Professor Potter

ps Even though the book is called Harry, a History, I'm still calling it Melissa Anelli and the Fandom of Potter...

Oh this is gonna be great! I can see it now

'Pottercast announces a new contest, send in a picture of you with your Harry A History book!'

'If you can find advertisments of the book, send in pictures!'

'Download your counter for the countdown to Harry A history!'

Soon there will be Harry A History filks, and message boards, and even puzzles and quizzes to see if we can guess the hints!

....too much?

Oh wow I cannot wait for this book
and I can't wait for this site to really get going.
I mean talk about ansy, extra stuff from the Jo rowling interview?! Its like there are secrets all over again to discover! lol

Congratulations on the Book Melissa, I think the title is uterly perfect, no other book could do I title like that justice.

I cannot wait to read it, loving the teasers on PotterCast aswell!

If I ask a bookstore for your book and it is not being released in my country, can I still get it?

Congratulations, Melissa. This is the first book I've pre-ordered since Deathly Hallows and it's coming out just in time for my birthday on 11-11.

Hey Melissa :) Kudos on the book! I'm really looking forward to it, and this is coming from an HP fan that doesn't really like to read books ABOUT HP (other than the HP books themselves, of course!). And the site is lovely! Just wondering...are you thinking about putting an RSS feed capability up? :)

I am looking forward to this book immensely. Truthfully, it's the first release I have been excited about since “Deathly Hallows.” As an avid Pottercast listener and a journalist, (who shares your dismay at the way many news outlets operate) I truly cherish the way that you and Sue handle the news related to all things Potter. You have brought a level of scrutiny and professionalism to the fandom that I know I can count on for good info. Congratulations on the book.

I am so excited to read your book! I am a long devoted Harry Potter fan as well as being a teacher who has seen the impact these books have had on both adults and children. I can't wait, and a shout out to Frak for the art. Thank you Melissa for all that you do for the Fans!

Great start to the site! I can't wait for the book, it's going to be brilliant I can tell!
All the best to you Melissa!

Hi. This is great so far. I like the feel of it. I look forward to the book and seeing the tidbits fill this site. I particularly look forward to hearing people are screaming for you to update your sites. That would be very cool. Jo would empathize. What are you going to do? You already seem to be so busy.AW, thanks for all you have done and continue to do to enrich my experience as a Harry Potter fan. Well done!

Hey, Melissa

I'm really excited for your book to come out! I look forward to reading something by you, I've always loved what you have to say on Pottercast. Not long till November! Whee!

G'day Melissa!

This is Joel from the HP Alliance. Congratulations on your upcoming, soon-to-be-published book! I can hardly imagine how many cups of coffee it must've took until you finally completed and refined it to your liking.

Once again, congratulations from all of us in Australia! And please do consider coming down to Western Australia for an Aussie tour!

Kind regards,
Joel

Hey Melissa,

Congratulations!!! What an awesome and exciting time for you.
Can't wait to grab my copy in Australia and devour it in one sitting! I just need you to fly on over and sign it for me LOL

Love the cover art

All the best

Pete :)

Hi Melissa, big hug from Belgium. I am really looking forward to read the book. I simply adore The Leaky Cauldron website so I know the book will be great as well.
Just give us some info if possible, I saw on the UK-Amazon pre-order website that there are 2 different versions noted. One book has 339 pages, the other more than 360. Is the difference caused by the different US/UK printing style or has one book more text than the other?
Keep up the good magical work!

A huge congratulations to you Melissa!!! You and Sue work so hard to bring us Leaky and now this from you. I saw this on Amazon and wanted to buy it immediately and was sad that it was pre-order. No worries... it will be bought on day one. What a huge honor that Jo is offering her support and help. What a great lady she is. Even though the next few months will be exciting, it probably will be a little stressfull too. Just know that we are all praying for you. Enjoy your moment. YEAH FOR YOU!!!!

Wow. I will be getting my copy as soon as I can. It will be great to read about the phenominen of Harry Potter from a true fan and not someone just cashing in.
Could you guys consider comming to australia, it would be great to see you all here.

YaY !!!!!!!!!I love you Melissa! awesome site! (Fraaaaaaak helped with the art right?) I can't wait to buy the book at terminus!

SQEEE!

Yay, it's coming! I'm a devoted PotterCast listener, and was so gald when you talked about Harry, A History a couple(?) weeks ago. I'm glad you'll be reading in Chicago, I might get a chance to show up. November seems like an long time from now, so this site should keep us going. And sorry for the exteremly long comment, it seems like it's turing into a letter. :]
Hello to the PotterCast team from me, and lots of love :) Don't end it anytime soon!

On another note, who do you favor in the Twilight Edward Jacob Debate? I'm an Team Edward as of now. Again, seems like it's turning into a Letter, so, Toodles for now.

grayx3eyedsoul.

Fantastic. I am looking forward to re-living the excitement of the journey and getting a first hand connection with some of the events I joined the fandom too late to enjoy in person. Well done in advance Melissa and congratulations on completing what was hopefully a cathartic personal journey to write it.

PS - Can we expect some puzzles to find connections between Vault 27, Harry a History & the HP series?
